Quick Birthday Card for my Nephew

DSCN4421

I made this Birthday card for my nephew, Nicholas, who turned 5.  He loves nature and especially animals, so I thought of using the giraffe from the Animal Stories set.  I love the look that the giraffe has when stamped on the textured cardstock.

TIP:  Use the Stampin’ Write Markers to write the recipients name in coordinating colors to the card.  I use the darkest color to write the name, then highlight with a lighter coordinating color.

TIP:  Use the Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the two separate stamps “happy” and “birthday”.

Take your Stamping to the Extreme

Take your stamping to the extreme with our new extreme stamp sets and these cool ideas.  Whether you're a total newbie or ready to go pro, you're sure to pick up one or two new tricks.

imageIn our world, the surf is always just right!  Simply turn an oval punch at an angle and punch along the entire edge of your card stock.  And remember, the smaller the oval, the rougher the surf.

Feel the salty spray of the sea by stamping, then stamping off, an Extreme Element image on textured card stock.

Don't let your kid see you taking his toy truck--he'll never believe you want it to stamp with.  Just ink up those wheels and roll the truck over your card stock.  Keep going until the wheels are clean.

image

Create an accent worthy of that 90-footer:  Stamp off an image multiple times, dragging the edge of your rubber between images.  Now that's our kind of shredding!

You don't need a snow machine to make this kind of powder, no matter the season.  Just stamp and Extreme Element and heat emboss with White Stampin' Emboss powder, then punch it out!

If you’d like to have the complete supply list for each of these three scrapbook pages, contact me and I’ll email them to you.

A Birthday with a Cherry on Top!

imageJust once a year, you celebrate your daughter’s new age. While a year seems like a  lifetime to her, it’s a blink of an eye for you. Before you know it, hardly any hair turns into curly pigtails. And “goo goo, ga ga” turns into words, and then full sentences.

Little girls love little cakes, so consider gracing her party with cupcakes—the kind you eat and the kind you stamp. Like her, each cupcake can be unique. So while you’re up to your elbows in cupcake batter and she’s licking the icing bowl, pause to remember those sweet moments. And, like the cherry you’ll top your cupcake with, a few handmade, crafty “treats” can be the cherry on top of a fabulous birthday.

To receive the supplies and instructions for the Framed Sweetest Ever Decor or the cupcake Book, contact me and I will send them to you, FREE!
